With the introduction of the new SK9072.1 bevel gear unit, NORD has made significant performance improvements on the tried and tested SK 9062.1 model that it replaces. The new SK 9072.1 model is a high-performance 3-stage helical-gear/bevel gear unit with compact dimensions, however with a greater torque capacity and a larger ratio range than is common for the market.

The new SK 9072.1 bevel gear unit features the following improvements:

• Higher torques through optimised, larger drive gears
• Unified, larger hollow shaft diameter in the push-on and foot-mounted versions The hollow shaft diameters are now compatible with industry standard dimensions (hollow shaft with parallel key groove: Ø 90 mm or hollow shaft with clamp ring
• Modular construction with small numbers of parts. Unified drive stages and drive shafts for the foot-mounted and push-on versions now enable strengthened output bearings, even with the flange versions VZ and VF as well as for gear units with hollow shafts.
• A torque support and a torque bracket with industry standard dimensions are available for the push-on version
• The holes in the foot-mounted version now have industry standard dimensions on the motor or input shaft side
• The threaded holes on the underside of the housing of the plug-on version have industry standard dimensions.
