NORD's standard asynchronous motors and frequency inverters allow for the quick and cost-efficient implementation of applications requiring relative or absolute position control (e.g. rotary tables, linear travel axes or synchronous speed control). The drive supplier provides two inverter models which are capable of replacing servo solutions. The compact NORDAC SK 530E inverter comes with an integrated POSICON position control, which allows users to approach up to 15 positions. The SK 530E is equipped with a TTL encoder input and a CANopen interface, which makes it possible to connect an absolute encoder and additional devices or an automation system.
The NORDAC SK 700E frequency inverter, which is specified for a mid-to-upper level power range, is available with an optional POSICON extension module which enables users to approach up to 252 positions. This extension unit features a TTL encoder input and an SSI interface which allows for the direct connection of absolute encoders. Both inverters can be operated by binary inputs or via the bus system. Thanks to a small number of parameters and a simple functional principle, both models are especially user-friendly.
